Making Plans & Changing Them

Today marks halfway through the second week. The rest of my classmates had a bit of a chill day since a meeting we all had planned for this afternoon got cancelled last minute. We were bummed, as we were supposed to be going to see the hole in the wall where Sugata Mitra’s experiments first started in the late 90s. By now we’ve learned that plans can change quickly in India, so we’ll get over it and hopefully reschedule for next week. The rest of my classmates won’t be heading back to the ARK school until Thursay and Friday, so they had a much deserved day off. I made my way over to CCS to meet and plan my school visit schedule for the rest of the week. We made phone calls to schools that have assisted CCS in the past and made a plan to head to two tomorrow! Once we had wrapped up our planning for Thursday, I went back to the hotel to meet up with everyone else.

We spent a few hours finishing up blogs, checking over data we collected from Kunskapsskolen and resting up. We are all feeling tired from our busy schedules, so it was nice to have a bit of a slow afternoon. The best part of our evening was heading over to Khan Market to meet a friend of mine for dinner. We met in the US through a mutual friend a couple years ago and she just happens to be here in India visiting her parents while we are here. He dad is Parsee (descendants of Persian Zoroastrians who emigrated to India to avoid persecution by Muslims) and she was born in India, but raised in the USA, so she doesn’t remember living here. She picked a wonderful Parsee restaurant and we loved the food! It was wonderful to see a familiar face on the other side of the world and to catch up with her. She also got to meet my classmates- who have earned the friend title as well by now. A much needed and enjoyable Wednesday!
